From the organization of the Derby Ribera del Órbigo, we address all participants, enthusiasts, and the pigeon racing community in general to inform you about an important modification to the official calendar of this 2026 edition.

With the aim of ensuring maximum transparency and keeping our collaborators informed, we detail below the technical and health factors that have prompted this strictly professional decision:

• Optimal Health Status: Successful completion of the scheduled quarantine periods, achieving anexcellent state of health across the entire loft.

• Immune Response: Rigorous health evaluation and study of the immune responses to the mandatory vaccinations administered against critical pathogens such as Paramyxovirus, Rotavirus, and Poxvirus.

• Adaptation to the Environment: Thorough compliance with the loft’s exterior recognition period, ensuring that
the athletes acquire the necessary orientation and confidence.

• Injury Prevention: Meticulously designed progressive training planning to avoid overexertion, premature fatigue, and physical injuries in the specimens.

• Calendar Coordination: Avoiding the overlap of our initially scheduled date (September 26) with other highly relevant pigeon racing events in the sector, thereby facilitating the participation and enjoyment of enthusiasts without counter-programming.

Therefore, and ALWAYS prioritizing animal welfare and the optimal conditions of our
pigeons above any organizational interest, we officially postpone the celebration of the
GRAND FINAL to October 10, 2026.
